OK, so the thyroid swelling was not the end of the world. It is only a cyst that was drained (not fun) and will shrink with time. I have to take some meds to let my thyroid go dormant for a few months to allow the cyst to shrink.
The biopsy/draining was not the most fun I have ever had. Fortunately, they numbed it up good and I couldn't see what they were doing. Most importantly, my bride was there with me. Couldn't do it without her.

What meds are you taking? Some meds bodybuilders use to get ripped.
I am taking a generic Synthroid. There are warnings all over it to NOT take it for weight loss.
Can't imagine doing so, it shuts your thyroid down. 'Course, so does exogenous testosterone.
